The «Citizens of St Petersburg» Committee (at first called The «Civil Society» Committee) was founded in 1995 by Vladimir Rekshan and Nikolay Medvedev (The «Free Culture» Society).

The main directions of activity are the following ones:

• holding and taking part in cultural actions, exhibitions, concerts, performances;
• holding and taking part in seminars, conferences and round-table discussions;
• taking part in radio and TV programmes, mass media publications.

The aim of The «Citizens of St Petersburg» Committee is enlightening activity directed at stimulating the civic conscience of St Petersburgers without which the formal juridic citizenship is senseless.

Working days and hours: Tuesdays from 6 p. m. till 7 p. m..
