Was created in May, 2003 at the meeting held at The «Pushkinskaya-10″ Art Centre. A group of musicians and literary workers had worked out the Charter (based on the Law of the Russian Federation «On Copyright and Adjacent Rights») which was accepted by those present at the meeting. The Board and the Revisional Commission were elected. The Board elected the writer, journalist and rock musician Vladimir Rekshan the Director of ANOVIS.

The main aim of ANOVIS is protecting the material interests of authors (owners of rights) who are members of the organization.

In May, 2004 the First Conference to hear reports and elect new executives was held by ANOVIS in Pushkinskaya, 10. The Director and a representative of the Revisional Commission made their reports. Re-elections of the Board took place. Now the members of the Board are Rekshan, Gunitskiy, Glyukk, Dudina, Tropillo, Shagin. The Revisional Commission is headed by the writer and lawyer N. Bekh.
